LinguaGuard attaches to the vented end of your high-volume evacuation straw. Here's the full chairside routine — from pack to disposal.
Attach to the straw
Spin the HVE straw as you insert it into the LinguaGuard sleeve, until the straw's vent hole aligns with the protruding tab in the sleeve and locks in place.
Curve it into position
The retractor should be curved away from the tip of the straw, then seated gently against the tongue or lip you need to hold clear.
Work hands-free
Suction and retraction now run together. The guard holds soft tissue clear of the HVE tip while your assistant keeps a hand free.
Remove and dispose
To remove, spin LinguaGuard counterclockwise to disengage it from the straw vent hole. Single-use only — discard in a clinical waste container.
