Attach
Spin the HVE straw into the LinguaGuard sleeve until the vent hole aligns with the tab and locks in place.

Position
Curve the retractor away from the tip of the straw and seat it gently against the tongue.

Suction and retraction now happen together — your assistant keeps a hand free for the procedure.

Dispose
Spin counterclockwise to remove. Single-use — discard in a clinical waste container.

LinguaGuard was created by Dr. Keith Gressell — a Temple-trained dentist who served with the US Army Dental Corps — out of a simple frustration: managing the tongue with a mirror while running suction took both hands and slowed everything down.
His answer was one apparatus that delivers the protection, stability, and suction of two instruments and two hands.
